  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Ten+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline and other related disciplines. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
  • Knowledge of the external environment, including Truist's competition, regulatory requirements and trends, and the strategies employed to continually meet the demands of clients and regulators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving unique and highly complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
  • Ability to lead and manage performance of a team or multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Drives critical elements of the design, development, implementation, and oversight of an assigned ERM Program (e.g., Issues Management Program, Risk Measurement Program, Policy Management Program), in partnership with applicable ERM Risk Program Owner and members of the ERM Leadership team.
  • Supports and facilitates assigned ERM Program policy and procedure documentation, training, communication, and oversight activities across the enterprise.
  • Leads key components of the design and delivery of Quality Assurance related to assigned ERM Program, including the testing strategy, outputs, and reporting for management and/or board level committees to demonstrate program effectiveness.
  • Coordinates with Business Unit Risk Managers (BURMs), Business Unit Chief Risk Officers (BUCROs) and Risk Program Owners ensure assigned ERM Program requirements are understood and executed appropriately.
  • Leads a team, directly and/or indirectly, to execute multiple key strategic initiatives related to assigned ERM Program.
  • Supports critical components of assigned ERM Program presentation materials for key internal stakeholders (e.g., Business Unit Leadership, BURM Leadership, BUCRO Leadership, Risk Program Owners, Management Committees, Board of Directors) and external regulators, including the associated preparation for ERM Leadership team.
  • Communicates regularly and escalates risks associated with execution of ERM Programs to the ERM Leadership team and Chief ERM Officer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree or Risk certification program
  • Prior experience leading a Risk Identification program
  • Understanding of CCAR including Scenario Design and regulation related to capital planning
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate across three lines of defense
