  • Demonstrable experience leading a geographically distributed team
  • Empathetic, proactive, and constructive communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent operational principles (observability, alerting, tracing, incident management, SLIs & SLOs, capacity planning, etc.)
  • Excel at planning, and overseeing execution to meet commitments and deliver with predictability
  • A strong understanding of how VPN technologies work, and the trade-offs between privacy, security, and anonymity
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, QUIC, H/3, proxying, etc.)
  • Good understanding of, and experience with, security protocols and standards
  • Good experience with debugging network-related problems
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Zero Trust team working on WARP’s edge service
  • Shape the team’s engineering strategy
  • Maintain the code quality and build solid, testable, and well-documented code
  • Foster a culture of diversity
  • Communicate clearly and with empathy
  • Interact with customers and internal stakeholders to identify gaps and areas of improvements
  • Work with stakeholders to transform identified gaps into innovative, actionable, and achievable solutions
