Requirements
  • Must possess a Class A or Class B commercial driver's license.
  • Must have a clean and safe driving record.
  • Must be able to maintain an active Department of Transportation qualification.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be willing to work nights, overtime, and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to work up to 16 hours, with a maximum driving time per day of 11 hours, in accordance with Department of Transportation Hours of Service Regulations.
  • Must frequently lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform sustained overhead reaching.
  • Must be able to work in areas with potentially high noise levels.
  • Must be able to tolerate working at heights up to 12 feet.

  • Must be able to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, and push and pull objects.

  • Must be able to repeatedly reach and squat and tolerate prolonged standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Must be able to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces.
Responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver concrete to industrial, commercial, and residential construction job sites safely and efficiently while adhering to Department of Transportation and company rules and regulations.
  • Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental practices and continuously comply with safety rules.
  • Perform weekly vehicle maintenance, records, and inspections, including fueling, cleaning, tire and light inspections, and checking and adding fluids as needed.
  • Perform timely pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in the mixer.
  • Use water hoses, brushes, and other cleaning supplies to maintain a clean mixer truck.
  • Complete and maintain a Department of Transportation Daily Log Book.
  • Understand and communicate job hazards and direct workers through direct communication, two-way radio, or hand signals.
  • Use tools and technology relevant to the role, including eTicket.
  • Exercise good judgment regarding worksite access, unloading, and operation to and from the delivery site.
  • Assist maintenance with repairs as needed.
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with coworkers and customers.
  • Assist in training coworkers as needed.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
  • Perform other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis.
