- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Perform approved activities related to direct patient care under the direction of a Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Perform and document vital signs, intake and output, rounding, and turn schedules while optimizing patient mobility and skin integrity.
- Assist with transferring patients to beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using patient-care equipment safely as needed.
- Perform and maintain competencies related to electrocardiograms, glucose testing, and phlebotomy.
- Answer call bells promptly and participate in customer service activities.
- Document care in the electronic medical record.
- One year of experience as a Nurse's Aide in a hospital environment is preferred.
