We are seeking highly motivated university students to learn and contribute hands-on while working on our engineering teams during Summer 2023. Current students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and graduating December 2023 and beyond are encouraged to apply.

We are recruiting for Mechanical Design Engineering interns. Mechanical Design Engineers focus on designing and analyzing mechanical systems and components. Join the team that conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs; prepare detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication; and provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and graduating December 2023 and beyond
• Interest in mechanical component design, HDD dynamics, vibration, and shock
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts and interest in HDD dynamics and vibration
• Experience in 3D-CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
• Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case in order to employ you (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)
