Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Two years of experience in structural analysis and design of materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, and wood-frame structures
  • Experience in communicating with internal and external clients
  • Experience using detailed analysis to solve complex problems
  • Eligible to telecommute 3 days/week from a home office within normal commuting distance of Los Angeles, CA
  • Willingness to periodically travel to in-state and out-of-state project sites
  • Candidates subject to a technical engineering quiz during the interview process
Responsibilities
  • Performing structural engineering analysis and design tasks for various structures
  • Developing concepts, layouts, and details during the design phase
  • Conducting site investigations and preparing specification documents
  • Overseeing Revit model development and drawing production
  • Attending meetings with clients and design team members
  • Assisting with reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, visiting project sites, and writing field reports during the construction phase
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, design team members, and contractors
  • Leading a team in BIM model development and ensuring high-quality drawing production
  • Assisting with developing project engineering budgets
  • Mentoring younger staff members
