Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; previous relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience with molecular techniques and data documentation is required for the preferred qualification.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with molecular and cell biology experiments, including recombinant DNA construction, in situ hybridization, cell culture, transfection, and viral-mediated transduction.
  • Facilitate research involving xenograft mouse models.
  • Conduct life science research projects and experiments, ensure protocol adherence, review progress, and evaluate results.
  • Perform experimental tasks including assays, material tests, specimen evaluation, and cultures.
  • Execute and develop data collection procedures; record, correlate, and analyze data; and prepare analysis summaries.
  • Contribute to research-method design, identify potential problems, and recommend solutions and technical approaches.
  • Make recommendations regarding data collection, management, and visualization software.
  • Train users in equipment operation and research techniques, and explain technology and equipment capabilities, limitations, and outcomes.
  • Develop project protocols and provide input on the feasibility of goals and objectives while assuring quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness.
  • Author papers, proposals, presentations, and reports to disseminate findings to the research community.
  • Operate a specialized research area or laboratory when assigned.
  • Perform routine laboratory maintenance and administration tasks.
  • May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is preferred.
  • One to three years of wet-lab experience is preferred.
