Requirements
  • More than two years of post-high-school education.
  • One to two years of employment in a related position with this company or another organization.
  • A valid, unexpired Manager Food Handlers Certification.
  • A valid, unexpired TIPS Basset Certification.
  • Excellent comprehension for assisting with guest and associate matters.
  • Vision sufficient for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, and reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.
  • Excellent oral communication for communicating with guests and associates, issuing instructions, and communicating policies.
  • Excellent comprehension for reading and implementing policies and procedures, writing schedules, and reading forecasts and standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and agents for training purposes.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chafing dishes weighing 20–40 pounds daily.
  • Ability to bend to pick up dropped items, assist in serving food, and retrieve supplies.
  • Mobility covering all outlet areas for approximately 95% of the shift while supervising.
  • Ability to stand continuously while assisting at the hostess station, with minimal stationary standing.
  • Ability to climb stairs as required by the location.
  • Ability to work primarily indoors, including in temperatures that may exceed 100 degrees when working in outdoor dining areas or assisting in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing daily restaurant, room service, bar, and catering operations to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Manage menu updates, promotions, guest service, and accurate ordering.
  • Implement beverage and liquor control procedures and ensure compliance with liquor laws.
  • Align operations with company policies and brand standards.
  • Achieve quality service, financial, and service goals while managing within approved budgets.
  • Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in the manager’s job description.
  • Complete the environmental checklist for the dining room.
  • Spot-check liquor pars and order daily supplies.
  • Hold pre-meal meetings.
  • Follow up on established training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Remain on the floor during peak hours.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
  • Observe, teach, and correct staff service.
  • Monitor each guest experience.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Maintain the condition of the dining room, lobby lounge, Morsels, minibar, and room service areas.
  • Assist the manager with scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting weekly and monthly operations.
  • Participate in recruitment, associate management, and discipline as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and follow up on them.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
  • Check bar controls, shot-glass use, red-lining, and completely empty bottles daily.
  • Adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.
