Software Development-Test Engineers (SDE-T) use cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems and get to see the impact of their work first-hand.
As an SDE-T you can be expected to use coding knowledge to create automated test scripts. You will use this knowledge to both identify issues in the original software and in the testing scripts.

Key job responsibilities
As an SDE-T, you will/may:
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to use technology to validate and verify software.
- Invent, refine and develop solutions to help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Build tools and automation frameworks that enable QA Engineers to easily automate tests.
- Troubleshoot, research and resolve defects.
- Create and manage bug reports and communicate with the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent discipline, with an expected graduation date between October 2023 – September 2025 and/or graduated within the last 24 months.
- Knowledge of at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python).
- Familiar with software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
- Familiar with software test techniques and strategy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous technical internship(s) in an SDE-T or other QA role.
- Experience with test automation framework or tools (e.g., Junit, TestNG, Selenium).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
