Global Payroll Lead Business Analyst is the owner for Workday payroll process optimization, including identifying efficiency opportunities, implementing automation, ensure proper controls and developing reporting.
Responsible for the management oversight and delivery of the change control process for Global Payroll Organization globally. Responsible for the management and execution of complex projects and coordinate Global Payroll Organization, regularly assumes formal leadership role within teams. Global Payroll Services consists of multiple process streams, including, payroll processing, payroll accounting, payroll tax, expat payroll, payroll accounting control.This role works in partnership with the respective regional payroll process leads for each process stream.
Process Management, Validation and Control
Proactively analyze issues identified in the end-to-end process and develop solutions by facilitating design sessions with technology and business operations leading to the development of problem resolution, new techniques and the improvement of processes.
Manage the change control process for Global Payroll Operation. Including partnering with the subject matter experts to create clear business specifications.
Understand business prioritization and coordinate with technology to set clear expectations for the book of work.
Partner with Global Payroll Organization to develop clear test scripts and manage timely execution and sign-off.
Reviewing new functionality with Payroll Operation leads to ensure proper controls to minimize risk.
Manage the Workday delivered system changes for Payroll Operations (Workday Releases) by ensuring operations has the appropriate test scripts including regression testing and full end-to-end payroll checkout.
Serve as the point of contact for technology on all Workday issues, improvements and testing.
- Is the subject matter expert of Workday Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI) used to send payroll data to third party vendors.
- Drive PECI Standardization and improvements to minimize manual intervention by payroll operations teams.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Payroll systems management from the operations perspective.
- 4+ years direct experience with Workday payroll
- Strong experiencein multi-country payroll environments, including expatriates, payroll accounting and regulatory compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing and payroll calculation methodology
- Experience in Change and Project Management.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills to deal with multiple stakeholder’s, at various levels internally and externally to Citi.
- Demonstrates drive, integrity, good judgment, adaptability, creativity, agility/ flexibility,self-awareness and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
