PathAI’s mission is to improve patient outcomes with AI-powered pathology. What You’ll Do: 

• Design ML orchestration pipelines and engineering infrastructure to support our enterprise machine learning systems at scale;
• Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies on both the front-end and back-end to solve problems in maintainable ways;
• Design and document changes and additions to the architecture of our application platform;
• Collaborate with product, design, machine learning, and systems infrastructure teams;
• Drive and uphold high engineering standards and promote code quality by ensuring software is adequately reviewed, tested, and integrated;
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability of our machine learning systems
• Support model development, with an emphasis on audibility, versioning, and reproducibility
• Facilitate the development and deployment of proof-of-concept machine learning systems

What You’ll Need

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or foreign degree equivalent
• 1-4 years of software engineering experience with Python or any object-oriented programming language. A background in Machine Learning is not required!
• Experience developing and maintaining ML systems built with open source tools
• Strong software engineering skills in complex, multi-language systems.

Beneficial Experience:

• Experience developing with containers and Kubernetes in cloud computing environments
• Experience building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer, ML DevOps Engineer, or Data Engineer (or equivalent)
• Experience working with cloud computing and database systems
• Familiarity with data workflow orchestration frameworks (e.g., KubeFlow, Airflow).
