Requirements
  • Commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
  • Prior experience with sandwich, deli, and salad preparation is preferred.
  • Experience in upscale production of high-quality sandwiches and green salads is a plus.
  • Proficiency in knife skills.
  • Direct customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Ability to remain standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment when necessary.
  • Knowledge of prepared foods and enthusiasm for food.
  • Must be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
Responsibilities
  • Produce prepared foods according to the daily operations list and established recipes, and pre-wrap and label items for sale.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and complete cleanup.
  • Work weekends as determined by the manager.
  • Observe all Weavers Way policies and procedures.
  • Attend departmental and all-staff meetings.
  • Assist with quarterly inventories.
  • Complete evaluations as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the prepared foods manager or manager on duty.
