Requirements
  • A high school equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in commercial or institutional painting and general maintenance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, drywall repair, and finishing is required.
  • Experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or long-term care environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, patch, sand, prime, and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces throughout the facility.
  • Repair drywall, plaster, and minor wall damage before painting.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Inspect facility areas for cosmetic and maintenance needs and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain painting equipment, tools, and supplies while ensuring proper storage and cleanup.
  • Follow all safety procedures, infection control protocols, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
  • Assist with general maintenance duties, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and preventative maintenance as needed.
