Requirements
  • BA/ BS degree and a scientific degree (either MS/ PhD) with a concentration in quantitative fields or advanced certification in modern data science/machine learning is required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a significant Data / Analytics role; relevant coursework for advanced degree in quantitative fields may be considered.
  • High proficiency in Marketing Mix fundamentals and modelling techniques, specifically in Bayesian Marketing mix modeling is preferred.
  • Advanced analytical skills with programming language proficiency (e.g. SQL, SAS, Python, R, VBA)
  • Experience using analytical and code development platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Jupyter Notebook, SAS Studio, SQL developers, GitHub)
  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong strategic awareness and business acumen
  • Strong proven leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners
  • Self-starter, proactive in nature, and actively participates
  • Ability to understand and influence decisions
  • Relevant therapeutic area experience in pharmaceutical analytics preferred
  • Knowledge of segmentation, marketing mix, and adoption driver analyses preferred
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g. IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo) preferred
Responsibilities
  • Partner and work closely with Brand and Functional heads to understand their business priorities and questions
  • Clean, aggregate, and organize data from disparate sources and transfer it to data lakes
  • Apply data science techniques, such as machine learning, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence to generate predictive insights – tactical and strategic insights to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Implement data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models and perform custom analysis enabling micro segmentation
  • Coordinate with data management to ensure insights are based on reliable, high quality information
  • Create dashboards to synthesize information and enable business decisions
  • Help Brand and Media teams translate budget optimization outputs into concrete action plans and recommendations (e.g., identifying root causes of Marketing ineffectiveness and associated levers of improvement)
  • Partner with Omnichannel and Brand Analytics leads to validate that Salesforce execution, Marketing and Media data are accurately input into MMM model
  • Collaborate with team of Advanced Analytics Analysts in the offshore hub, helping onboard them as we build out capabilities and partnering with them on projects.
