At least three years of financial aid experience required
Thorough knowledge of Federal financial aid regulations required
Computer and data management skills
Experience using EDE, NSLDS, Microsoft Office, Campus Management and Slate
Must be willing and able to undertake tasks requiring much attention to detail and accuracy
A valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel
Ability to pass a background check
Proficient with system applications, a Student Information System, and online technology
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Desire to be actively involved with the campus community
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong personal integrity and professionalism
Knowledge of Ohio financial aid programs
Responsibilities
Provide input to foster development of the Financial Aid Office, Lourdes University and community
Perform duties related to legal and ethical administration of financial aid administered through the U.S. Department of Education, Ohio Board of Regents, Lourdes University and related agencies
Understand and utilize the Student Information System financial aid module to perform primary functions and required tasks and reports
Observe processes and suggest actions to improve customer service, response time, communications, and issue resolution
Counsel students and families regarding financial aid process and activities
Package financial aid according to federal, state, and institutional regulations using DOE systems and reporting portals
Review Withdrawals for Return to Title IV compliance
Oversee Reconciliation Process, federal loan reporting, and other processes
Process and reconcile all aspects of the Alternative Loan program and associated management systems
Perform financial aid verification and professional judgement; maintain high standards of customer service
Maintain up-to-date presentation materials for financial aid consumers
Present financial aid programs at high schools and other organizations
Assist in coverage of university fairs and recruitment events
Manage tuition exchange programs and reporting; serve as point of contact for tuition exchange
