As a Human Resources intern at Stryker, you will be placed in one of the followingteams:
HR Generalist/Talent Management/Learning & Development
Responsibilities could include –
Collaborating on the development and implementation of programs and solutionsto improve performance and processes such as:
Creating a strategy for a New Hire Orientation
Reviewing employee engagement survey data and creating a newmethod to display the results
Creating a process map and training for our HR Management System
Assisting with employee communications and branding
Managing reports, dashboards, and metrics that measure efficiency andeffectiveness across our organization
Planning, implementing and executing Employee Appreciation Week
Recruiting / Talent Acquisition
Recruiting/Talent Acquisition interns will have responsibilities within one or more ofthe following functions:
Sourcing– Finding passive candidates through various platforms to interview for full-time roles, partnering with recruiters to bring in talent for open requisitions, anddeveloping stronger techniques for tracking passive candidates.
Candidate Care- Scheduling on-site interviews, making travel arrangements, andgreeting candidates as they arrive for their interviews.
Recruiting– Identifying candidates, interviewing and ultimately hiring diverse talentto the Stryker team; inputting data into our applicant tracking system.
University Relations– Assisting with designing the fall and spring campus strategies,coordinating summer intern program events, and managing the intern blog.
Majors Targeted: Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business-relatedfield
• Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fieldor equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seekingprogram after the summer
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will beverified during background check in the spring
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.and not require employment-basedsponsorship now or in the future.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to managepriorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changingpriorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Proven leadership and business acumen skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
