Technical Specialist, Mid
Key Role:
Oversee server configurations, manage network systems, and resolve technical issues and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) system and environment. Support, configure, and administer the JKO enterprise applications, and JKO network software versions. Support JKO servers, networked and standalone workstations, and common office productivity and instructional software, relational databases and specialize in a network environment, decision support, or assistive technology. Ensure the stability, security, and availability or the JKO database to support critical business operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with the JavaScript programming language, SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and web application development
Experience with relational databases, including Oracle and Postgres using SQL and HQL
Experience with reviewing code, testing large-scale web applications, preparing or developing specifications for new applications, and evaluating existing applications to refactor, update, and add new features to an existing web application
Experience with database automation, including identifying opportunities for automation and implementing scripts or tools to streamline database administration task
Experience with using tools supporting Java Enterprise Edition, including Hibernate, Java Servlet Specification, and Java EE Context Dependency Injection
Experience with implementing and enforcing security measures to safeguard sensitive data, managing users access privileges, and monitoring potential security breaches
Experience with diagnosing and resolving database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and connectivity errors
Knowledge of the Wild Fly application server
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with the Military or DoD staff
Experience with monitoring, installing, maintaining server hardware, operating system, and a network infrastructure
Ability to maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
Ability to pay strict attention to detail
Ability to build relationships across an organization and interface with all levels of government or military personnel
Possession of excellent organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
TS/SCI clearance
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
