Requirements
  • MBA or MS in Computer Information Sciences or related degree preferred.
  • PMP, Six Sigma certification or formal education in Project Management preferred.
  • Minimum five years experience in project management required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage large technology projects, typically interdepartmental projects that impact core business operations.
  • Develop, implement and use best practice methodologies and tools, based on PMI standards.
  • Prepare professional-level documents and deliver presentations to executive management.
  • Use project management software (such as MS Project) to create detailed project plans from tasks, task durations, resources and dependencies.
  • Produce status reports for various levels of team and executive management.
  • Mentor Managers and Project Analysts.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical, functional and management staff.
  • Review and improve project management office processes, procedures and standards to meet PMI standards and the needs of the organization.
  • Analyze departmental needs to determine potential enhancements or improvements to office procedures and activities.
  • Work closely with the project sponsor and other project managers to define organizational goals, select team members and support the team throughout the implementation.
  • Define requirements and measurable goals for the project.
  • Prepare project plan, to include scope of work, ownership of the project and definition of team roles.
  • Create a positive team environment to achieve the goals of the assigned project.
  • Work with vendor to plan and coordinate tasks for project, report and resolve issues and ensure assignment of a single point of contact within HH during the project.
  • Create and maintain an issue list.
  • Create and maintain a risk and stakeholder analysis with mitigation as needed.
  • Develop a communications plan for all related parties, including management, sponsor, team and functional manager.
  • Complete project cycle by coordinating with team to document lessons learned and operational turnover documents.
  • Act as an integral member of the HH IT Disaster Recovery Team, following documented HH disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Promote and adhere to departmental and organizational information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Desired Qualifications
