Improving our internal Customer Service tool to ensure that our agents have the ability to help ensure our customers accounts are happy
Scaling our backend to evolve with new feature requests and support our growing user base
Improve the reliability and availability of our growing platform and services for our families and partners

Greenlight is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to focus on a full-stack react/node.js product development. This role will work on a Scrum team on two-week sprints. The team is full stack focused and this role will focus on delivering and supporting our best in class debit card experience for our kids and families.

This role reports to the Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

Building new backend services which add new experiences and features to our website, registration process, and applications
Improving our internal Customer Service tool to ensure that our agents have the ability to help ensure our customers accounts are happy
Scaling our backend to evolve with new feature requests and support our growing user base

What you should bring:

6+ years software development experience, preferably at a FinTech company
Experience with microservice architectures
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience working on a large scale project using Node
Experience using an ORM such as sequelize to interact with a database
Experience building and scaling GRPC services
Experience using AWS tools
Experience using Docker
