Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity:

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll serve as a Subject Matter Expert on our team, applying technology concept development expertise to advise and assist our Department of Defense client to reduce non-traditional threats around the world. You’ll provide scientific and project management support while leveraging U.S. military operational experience to maximize client support for chemical and biological detection and identification technology development. You will leverage subject matter expertise in in chemical and biological threat detection/identification science using passive or standoff detection methods such as spectroscopy, lasers, lidar, or quantum sensing for high resolution mapping of chemical or biological agents.  Additionally, you’ll determine needs and opinions of warfighters for emerging technologies and conduct presentations of technology developed in this science and technology division.

You Have:

• 5 years of experience in science and technology program management
• Experience in application and analysis of scientific principles for future technologies
• Experience with using MS Office
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science field

Nice if You Have:

• Experience with technology prototyping or automation.
• Experience in the U.S. military
• Experience with the U.S. Army Chemical Corps or similar U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Marine Corps in chemical and biological defense
• Knowledge of traditional and emerging chemical warfare agents
• Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of strong analytical skills
• Top Secret clearance
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
