Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a individual contributor on macOS platform engineering team, driving secure, scalable, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Translate platform strategy into well-designed solutions, configurations, and automation that deliver measurable improvements in reliability and user experience.
  • Lead by example through strong engineering practices, documentation, and technical mentorship for peers.
  • Design, build, and maintain macOS endpoint management capabilities using Jamf Cloud, including device lifecycle, provisioning, patching, software delivery, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain automation, packaging, and deployment workflows (e.g., scripting, configuration profiles) to improve scale and reduce manual effort.
  • Drive adoption of modern Apple ecosystem capabilities (e.g., zero-touch provisioning, identity integration, declarative management) to enhance platform maturity.
  • Design and maintain secure, scalable macOS platform standards and configurations.
  • Ensure platform reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex macOS issues with strong root cause analysis.
  • Simplify systems and reduce operational overhead through automation and improvements.
  • Maintain runbooks and documentation while driving adoption of new technologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in endpoint/client platform engineering with deep expertise in macOS ecosystems.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an engineering role supporting macOS and Apple hardware at scale.
  • Hands-on experience with Jamf Cloud, Intune for device management and lifecycle operations.
  • Proficiency in packaging, scripting, and deployment automation using Jamf (e.g., Bash, shell scripting).
  • Strong knowledge of macOS systems management within enterprise Active Directory environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues across macOS platforms.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise network fundamentals (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and their impact on endpoint performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations for tools, platforms, and solutions.
  • Experience providing L2/L3 support across multiple enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Familiarity with datacenter architecture and core security principles impacting endpoint environments.
  • Self-driven with the ability to operate independently and make sound technical decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional and cross-divisional teams.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution with a focus on minimizing business impact and downtime.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate technical scenarios and recommend viable solution options.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and operational processes.
