Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years related experience in the Broadcast Media.
  • Demonstrated successful project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, database management, and scheduling software.
  • Proficient with studio software applications including ProTools, Soundforge, TLC, Spot Depot, FTP.
  • Proficient with all newsroom type broadcast equipment.
  • Demonstrate acute attention to detail.
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
Responsibilities
  • Be the eyes and ears of the Newsroom. Monitor for any local K-LOVE market news that might warrant the creation and delivery of a Local News Breakaway. This would involve researching, verifying, writing and voicing updates. Alert News team leadership if a national crisis develops.
  • As assigned, collect, edit, and produce interviews or News features for on-air use or to post as podcasts on websites and social media.
  • Proactively manage portions of news web pages on K-LOVE digital platforms. + Research and maintain awareness of breaking news stories, post stories on websites. Ensure pages are updated and relevant.
  • Maintain the database of local Public Affairs programming and coordinate the scheduling of segments with the Public Affairs and Traffic teams.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet ministry core values.
  • Maintain effective working internal team relationships and with external support departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational Media Foundation (EMF) runs radio stations, streaming services, movies, books, and live events to spread contemporary Christian music and faith-based content across all 50 states. It combines ministry with media, funded by listeners, to reach millions daily and maintain a large, multi-platform presence.
