Requirements
  • This is a job for someone passionate about space or curious about making things for a living but without much experience. Our objective is to train you to run a 5 axis mill in 30 to 60 days through a structured training process. We will train you in basic blueprint reading, basics of machining operation, and certify you to use cutting edge machinery. As you progress through our skills matrix, we will continuously invest in your training & education
  • Women and others from under-represented groups are especially encouraged to apply
  • Hadrian is a tech company that produces high precision, machined metal parts for the space industry. The Factory Technician role is our entry level position and is the building block in our ability to make beautiful space parts. This is not your grandfathers' machine shop. You can be comfortable here, and we want to be yourself when you come to work
  • Some highlights:
  • Cutting edge factory with clean working conditions: gone are the days of a dark, dirty, and dangerous shop floor. Our working environment boasts state of the art machines, ai-conditioned, and loaded with technology. In fact, our core objective is to build the most advanced factory on the planet. Expect to interact heavily with digital tools and amazing automation
  • Stress-free: an underrated aspect of manufacturing work is predictability. You will work 8 hours a day, with precise tasks and autonomy in how you plan your work. Our work environment is focused but casual- there is no orders barked or boss peering over your shoulder
  • No intellectual hierarchy: while clearly defined operational roles help us execute or mission, you input is as valid as an engineer or software developer's. We are serious about creating an awesome culture where everyone is valued. One example: the company provides lunch and both shop floor and office workers eat together at the same table. And yes, that includes our senior leadership
  • Become an owner of the company: after a year of employment, you will become eligible to own a small piece of Hadrian. It may not seem like much today, but could be worth a lot if we succeed on our mission
Responsibilities
  • Pre/post machining operations: shipping, receiving, packing, part mark, cut stock, stamping, tool building, measurement, and dis-assembly
  • Machining: operate machinery under engineer and programmer guidance
  • Quality inspections: operate CMM and perform manual inspections
  • Shop tasks: own housekeeping, checklists, and perform cleaning duties as directed
