Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
  • 18+ years of relevant experience in the construction of overground stations, with a strong background in metro or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Overground stations experience is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of overground station construction methods, including tunneling, structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering principles, design processes, and technical standards relevant to overground metro stations.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and safety standards in the UAE, as well as international best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the construction process, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring quality assurance on site.
  • Proficient in project management software, construction scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Valid UAE driver’s license (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day construction activities for overground stations, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all site-related engineering and construction issues related to overground stations.
  • Lead the coordination of construction activities between contractors, subcontractors, and the design team to resolve any technical challenges and ensure the project progresses smoothly.
  • Supervise the construction of key overground station components including structural, architectural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, and tunneling works.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues, delays, or potential risks that may impact the project schedule or budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health, safety, and environmental standards on the project site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure quality control and that all works are in accordance with the project design.
  • Review and approve method statements, construction work plans, and technical submittals related to underground station works.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of regular project progress reports, site diaries, and minutes of meetings to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the resolution of any technical, engineering, or design issues encountered during construction, ensuring that solutions align with project goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team to align the construction activities with the overall project plan and schedule.
  • Ensure the timely issuance of work permits and that all safety regulations are followed throughout the project.
  • Monitor contractor performance, including the quality of work, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Review contractor invoices, progress claims, and change orders, ensuring that they align with the terms of the contract.
  • Lead the commissioning process and ensure a smooth handover of completed overground stations to the operations team.
  • Assist in preparing and implementing the project’s risk management plan, identifying and mitigating risks related to overground station construction.

AtkinsRéalis Group, a world-class engineering services and nuclear company, reported fourth-quarter revenue of $2.9 billion, up 13% year-over-year, with full-year revenue reaching $11.0 billion, up 14%. AtkinsRéalis Services revenue increased 17% in Q4 and 16% for the full year. The company achieved diluted earnings per share from Professional Services & Project Management of $2.14 for 2025, up 80%, whilst adjusted diluted EPS reached $3.36, up 88%. Full-year operating cash flow totalled $461 million, and backlog reached a record $21.2 billion as at 31 December 2025. For 2026, AtkinsRéalis expects Engineering Services Regions organic revenue growth of 5-7% and Nuclear revenue of approximately $2.5 billion. Operating cash flow is projected at roughly $500 million.

Ferrovial Buys 5.06% 407 ETR Stake
