Requirements
  • Five years of related experience in a production maintenance environment.
  • Motor drive and programmable logic controller technician-level experience; certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and industrial power systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic power systems.
  • Familiarity with hand and maintenance shop tools, including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Experience reading design drawings for fabrication purposes.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical computer-aided design drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and fractions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to complete position-related training and certifications.
  • Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision.
  • Knowledge and demonstration of lockout/tagout methodology.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Adherence to New Pig's safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to return it to safe and proper working condition.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment at multiple locations in coordination with the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Enter preventive maintenance, repair, and reporting information into the computerized maintenance management system for record keeping, tracking, and measurement.
  • Work with maintenance professionals across shifts to support production operations and achieve output, quality, and financial goals.
  • Ensure machine uptime and process capabilities meet quality and production schedules.
  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
  • Install power distribution equipment, including subpanels, conduit, and wiring, as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain machine control systems, including drives, relays, machine networks, and programmable logic controller systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems, including motors, gearboxes, and other power transmission systems.
  • Participate in managing critical spare-parts inventory to ensure availability.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering by fabricating, debugging, and installing custom-designed equipment using machining centers, lathes, computer numerical control equipment, plasma cutting, welding, and other equipment.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining maintenance training programs.
  • Facilitate and support the deployment of lean manufacturing techniques on projects to eliminate the eight wastes.
  • Demonstrate a safety-first approach in projects and daily activities.
  • Maintain a positive work environment and employee experience.
