Through this wide-ranging partnership, AT&T and Fanatics will combine their respective strengths to deliver new value for fans nationwide, unlocking special benefits for AT&T customers by tapping into Fanatics' expansive reach and cultural relevance. The Fanatics ecosystem is comprised of more than 100 million fans and relationships with more than 5,000 athletes and celebrities, creating one of the largest relationship hubs in sports. CWAers crash AT&T's March Madness Block Party.

CWAers crash AT&T's March Madness Block Party. April 9, 2026 AT&T Orange Mobility workers hired digital billboard trucks and distributed informational flyers last week outside of the AT&T Block Party at the March Madness Music Festival in Indianapolis, Ind. Members mobilized to inform the public about the company's corporate greed and the ongoing contract negotiations. AT&T spends millions of dollars on flashy corporate sponsorships like the NCAA March Madness tournament and free concert events for the public. But CWA members let the public know that these free events are not possible without the wealth created by the workers. CWA and AT&T agreed to a contract extension after an overwhelming 95 percent of voting Orange Mobility members authorized CWA President Claude Cummings Jr. to call a strike if necessary. The contract extension now expires on April 17.

AT&T Fiber optic cable installation in Mentor.

AT&T Fiber optic cable installation in Mentor. This year, AT&T is upgrading its network infrastructure by installing state-of-the-art fiber optic cables in neighborhoods throughout Mentor to provide faster, more reliable internet services to their customers. Letters will be sent to affected homeowners. What to Expect in Work Areas * All installation activities will occur within the existing easements and utility or road rights of way. While some work may take place on or near your property, it will remain within these designated areas. This work will sometimes require access to its network that could include the need to trim trees or to dig on or near your property. City of Mentor will always do its best to minimize any disruptions to you. * Soon, you will notice colored flags and/or painted markings on or near your property. These are used to locate and identify existing underground utilities in accordance with safety regulations. Please do not disturb these markers - they are temporary and necessary for the installation process. * If you have a sprinkler system, dog fence or other underground items in the easement area or right of way, please mark them with white or pink flags. These will not be marked by OUPS/811. * If any area of your property is disturbed or damaged because of this work, rest assured that its crews are committed to restoring the site to the same - or better - condition as before. * Work is scheduled to begin within two weeks from the distribution of the notification letter you receive and is expected to be completed, including all restoration efforts, within one month of the project start date. * Once installation is complete, AT&T Fiber service will become available to your home within one month, offering you access to enhanced internet speeds and reliability. The project will be completed in phases: * Phase one includes boring/digging and placing fiber optic cables and structures to house splice and termination points, including serving terminals that will supply residential service. This will also include any restoration work. * AT&T hires contract suppliers to perform the construction work which includes any digging, boring, fiber optic cable placing, and restoration. Contact information to speak directly to the AT&T Inspector who will be overseeing the construction work will be provided in the letter. * Phase two will include splicing (making the connections). AT&T employs local technicians to perform the work of splicing fiber and installing hardware. * Phase 3 will complete the project by installing state-of-the-art services to individual homes as requested by customers. This work is also performed by local AT&T employees. You will see vehicles and equipment belonging to their Contractor as well as AT&T in your neighborhood throughout the duration of the project. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this project, please contact Peggy Johnson on its AT&T Customer Care team at 1-877-780-5422 or visit their website (www.att.com) for more information. NOTE - the content in this post was obtained from the letter which will be sent to residents in areas where work will be conducted.

VSU students gain access to technology through AT&T & USG Foundation gift.

VSU students gain access to technology through AT&T & USG Foundation gift. Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 Valdosta State University students now have greater access to the technology they need to succeed thanks to a recent gift of 50 laptop computers, made possible through a partnership between AT&T and the University System of Georgia Foundation. The laptops, valued at $18,500, are part of a statewide initiative that has provided 1,250 students across the University System of Georgia with reliable, up-to-date technology to support their academic work. The effort reflects a shared commitment to removing barriers and ensuring students have the tools they need both in and out of the classroom. At VSU, the laptops were distributed to students with the greatest need through a collaborative effort between the VSU Foundation and the university's New Media Center. Students who frequently relied on checking out laptops from campus resources were prioritized, helping ensure the devices went to those who needed consistent access the most. "Access to reliable technology is no longer optional; it is essential," said Rick Munroe, vice president for University Advancement. "We are grateful to AT&T and the University System of Georgia Foundation for their partnership and for investing in our students." Each laptop is now the personal property of the student recipient, allowing for continued use throughout their academic journey. The devices came with a one-year hardware warranty and access to technical support, providing students with reliable tools they can depend on. Through this initiative, 50 VSU students now have the technology needed to stay connected, complete coursework, and continue progressing toward graduation, an impact that will be felt far beyond the classroom.
