As a Senior Software Engineer - Backend at Ankorstore, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our B2B marketplace and service offering connecting brands with retailers. 

You'll work within a multidisciplinary team composed of a core engineering team, the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, UX Designer to solve challenging problems that help our users succeed in their businesses.

Main Responsibilities

As part of the squad your responsibilities will include :

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services

• Contribute to the evolution of our architecture

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with appropriate test coverage

• Embrace new technologies such as AI when designing solutions

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the platform

• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability

• Participate in code reviews and mentor more junior team members

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

• Support the on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability

• Continuously improve development practices and processes

Tech stack

• Front-end: Vue.js, Typescript, Vuex, sass, webpack

• Back-end: PHP 8.3, Laravel 10, Golang

• Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis

• Tools: Github, CircleCI, Sentry, Notion

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend web development

• Strong proficiency in at least one of our core languages: PHP or Golang

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Solid understanding of database design and optimization (MySQL)

• Experience with message queuing systems

• Knowledge of search technologies (Elasticsearch)

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

• Commitment to writing maintainable, tested code

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
