With over 8 million members, VoucherCodes is one of the UK’s largest money-saving websites. Partnered with big brands like ASOS, Nike, Argos, Expedia and Pizza Express, we receive over 8 million monthly visits. Right now, we’re looking for a software engineer to join our Engineering team in London.
We are looking for a software engineer with full-stack experience that knows what it takes to produce performant and reliable websites and APIs. You take a keen interest in researching, experimenting and implementing new technologies. We look for engineers who have excellent attention to detail and care about the features they implement to provide an excellent user experience. You will be joining a team of 25+ engineers across web, data and platform.
Our current tech stack consists mainly of PHP, MySQL, GraphQL, Redis, TypeScript, Vue, Nuxt, GraphQL and TailwindCSS. To ensure the quality of our codebases, we use code quality tools such as PHPStan, PHPCS, and ESLint, and we use the latest standards such as PHP8.1 and ES2022. We are also extensive users of Docker and Kubernetes.
What we need from you
- At least 2 years of relevant development experience within a web environment
- Extensive knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Javascript and CSS
- Experience with a modern PHP framework (such as Laravel or Symfony) and a modern JavaScript framework (such as Vue or React)
- Acquainted with command line and DevOps processes
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile software development lifecycles
- Inquisitive and up to date with technologies and industry trends
- Previous experience with isomorphic applications and AWS is a bonus

- Building new product experiences that our users will find simple and delightful to use
- Iterating upon and improving existing functionality and features of our website, app and browser extensions
- Delivering high-quality, well-structured code with excellent test coverage
- Using the latest tools and techniques to monitor and improve application performance
- Contributing to the architecture of our platforms, updating and expanding our technology stack
- Directly contributing to enhancing our developer experience
- Using your skills and expertise to support other engineers
