About the Department
The Federal Civilian Inside Account Executive, is an integral part of the broader Cloudflare Federal go to market strategy. The IAM will work closely with 2-3 field sellers supporting the civilian market leveraging Cloudflare’s recent FedRAMP authorization, and strategic wins supporting the entire civilian market via CISA and the .GOV domain win.
- The Civilian IAE is a sales role with direct customer engagement, prospecting, forecasting, and account management.
- The IAE will work in conjunction with field sellers to engage and support specific customer accounts across the civilian market working both directly with Independent agencies and with the field team in support of cabinet agency agencies.
- The IAE also makes outbound prospecting calls to help engage new customers/business for both their individually assigned accounts and for the accounts supported by field Account Executive(s)
- Makes proactive calls to prospective and/or existing customers within assigned accounts to uncover new business.
- Work with Value Added Reseller (VAR) community to coordinate sales prospecting, customer seminars, customer engagement, competitive take out, and upsell opportunities.
- Serves customers at the highest level in order to assist in closing any potential sales
What you’ll do
We are looking for a sales professional to help us grow our Public Sector Field Sales team to help cover the Federal Mid Market for the US. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at all levels with technical and non-technical buyers.
As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing against a comprehensive account/territory plan as well as driving sales in a defined territory and/or account list to achieve revenue targets. The person in this role will also assist in creating and articulating compelling value propositions for Cloudflare services.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Manage contract negotiations
