Requirements
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology
  • Subspecialty Fellowship training is desired
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in TN and have the ability to obtain other state licenses as needed
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations
  • Ability to read digital pathology desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Must have a positive customer service attitude and be a team player
Responsibilities
  • Write pathology reports
  • Provide communication with referring physicians and other clients regarding clinical, medical, technical, and service matters
  • Ensure promptness and accuracy of service
  • Attend and present cases or academic presentations at meetings as necessary
  • Review consultation cases from external physicians
  • Provide support for development of digital pathology products and services, along with collaboration on clinical research
  • Provide general support for other areas of the laboratory
  • Interactions with sales and marketing, and with billing team
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by management including but not limited to Quality Assurance
  • Provide support for the Biopharma laboratory including training and performing competency assessments of support staff
  • Verify controls and troubleshooting support
  • Participate in validation of assays and instrumentation
  • Score stains such as PD-L1, FOLR1, ER, PR, HER2/neu and others as necessary
  • Participate in algorithm model development activities
