We’re looking for a Director of Sales Development who will be responsible for scaling and leading our sales development organization. You will be an integral part of the sales leadership team by providing continuous mentorship for our SDRs and SDR Leaders, refining our sales process, defining and tracking our KPIs and spearheading SDR recruiting. You will work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, sales operations, marketing operations, revenue operations, go-to-market systems, and sales enablement to drive the strategy for the sales development team.

What you’ll be doing
- Build a scalable outbound strategy that secures pipeline coverage and repeatable target achievement
- Collaborate with other sales leaders to create a stellar buyer experience and handoff from SDR to AE
- Recruit, hire, coach, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives and Sales Development Managers to exceed quarterly and annual pipeline and revenue targets
- Proactively identify and launch initiatives to drive new business development growth and operational excellence
- Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the SDR team
- Ensure that team metrics are aligned with the broader organizational objectives
- Report on pipeline-building metrics and forecast to senior sales management
- Collaborate with sales enablement for targeted training and development
- Collaborate with marketing and sales operations to ensure expedient and thorough follow up of inbound leads

- Work remotely (within the United States), or at our Birmingham, AL HQ. We strive to promote a strong remote working culture and have done so since 2012
- 5+ years of experience managing high performing sales development teams
- Track record of collaborating with sales leaders and revenue operations teams to make data driven decisions
- In depth business acumen and ownership mindset
- Ability to evaluate and discern micro and macro trends to develop or shift strategy
- Strong understanding of sales development best practices (cadence management, cold-calling, objection handling, etc.) and pipeline building process
- Ability to understand systems, processes, and people to drive innovation and efficiency
- Strong delegator that can empower and enable other leaders to own and drive tactics and strategies that are implemented
