Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or five years of experience working at a college or university is required.
  • Two years of experience in higher education administration is required.
  • Experience using a student information database is required.
  • Experience supporting and/or coordinating projects is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of the Office of Financial Aid's Student Information System as it impacts student account and financial aid processing.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of Federal Student Aid systems and utilities, including EDE Express, FAFSA Processing Portal, FAFSA Processing System, Common Origination and Disbursement, and the National Student Loan Data System.
  • Gather feedback from operations, call center, and compliance teams about system functionality, business processes, and system transitions, and coordinate follow-up actions with the systems team.
  • Administer the systems team's request intake platform, assign and resolve escalations, and support feedback gathering.
  • Assess stakeholder training needs and develop documentation, reference materials, and knowledge-transfer resources for effective use of the Student Information System and compliance-related training.
  • Monitor, track, and address issues involving data files, communications, process scheduling, and review lists; research system and processing issues using federal, vendor, and professional association resources; and recommend solutions or process improvements.
  • Process and review assigned system-generated exception reports.
  • Provide seasonal support to the Systems Analyst with importing, exporting, and storing financial aid records.
  • Support Student Information System transition efforts by identifying financial aid end-user requirements and acceptance criteria and cataloging required knowledge-transfer steps.
  • Support regulatory compliance by collaborating with compliance and operational teams on current and emerging federal and state financial aid requirements.
  • Perform analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, training, and process documentation to support financial aid program administration.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in education, business, marketing, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Experience using Banner Financial Aid Software or Workday ERP is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred; employees fluent in another language may be asked to counsel students or parents in that language.
  • Two years of experience in financial aid at a university or college is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management or office administration is preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
