About Us
At Hiya we are on a mission to modernize voice with trust, identity, and intelligence. We’re protecting everyday people from spam and fraud calls, connecting businesses with their customers, and helping carriers secure their networks for all. In 2015, Hiya founder, Alex Algard, saw the increasing need for innovation in the voice channel and began building the first caller ID and spam-blocking apps for mobile while at Whitepages. In early 2016, Hiya spun out of Whitepages and brought its technology to market through Samsung Smart Call, the first-ever network-based spam solution with AT&T, and the Hiya consumer app. Three years later in 2019, we brought Hiya Connect to market, a B2B branded call service that enables enterprise companies to connect to the consumers they are trying to reach. The combination of Protect, Connect, and the Hiya app has resulted in the world’s largest Voice Performance Platform with over 400M monthly active users.
About the Position
The Business Analyst role is an individual contributor position responsible for conducting diverse data analysis in order to illuminate mission-critical business insights at Hiya. Your conclusions will be used to identify, measure, and drive focus for our team’s progress in sales and financial targets. This includes actively maintaining and evolving quantitative views on opportunity sizes and situation analysis.
We’re excited about you because you’re the kind of person that is excited to work across business teams to build a perspective on how our diverse data sets can be used to answer critical business questions. You’re a self-starter that can hold yourself accountable for delivering results while being adaptable to an evolving start-up environment.
What You’ll Do
- Own the design, development, automation, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Educate and train users to drive the usage of reports. Simplify and manage the lifecycle of reports that are no longer necessary.
- Engage directly with internal business teams to determine and document KPIs and Business Intelligence requirements.
- Respond to (and anticipate) high-priority requests from senior business leaders.
- Recognize and adopt standard methodologies in reporting and analysis. Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain forecasts to progress sales and financial targets.

- You don’t sacrifice good for great.
- You are collaborative, inclusive, and decisive.
- You can wear multiple hats to get the job done.

The person in this role must embody Hiya’s key values of: Serving our customers, Doing rather than observing, Improving ourselves and our business, Owning and holding ourselves accountable for success, and Leading by showing up with a POV, engaging in discussion, listening respectfully to others opinions and committing to decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems and extract as well as articulate insights that led to tangible business results.
- A pattern of being self-started, self-taught, and proactive. You are your own QA team, producing quality analysis and building novel ways to ensure accuracy.
