What You Will Be Doing:
The Testing team is focused on supporting the operation of fusion systems. You will support this effort directly and support the scientific and engineering development projects that will be required for us to meet its goals. This will include the build and creation of high-voltage pulse power systems, plasma diagnostics, and vacuum chamber systems. You will report directly to our Fusion Test Lead at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
- Help with the identification, installation, and implementation of test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
- Be responsible for preventative maintenance of lab equipment
- Help create minor subassemblies and test components focused on vacuum systems, pulse power electronics, electrical systems, and fast prototypes
- Maintain consumables inventory
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and service vacuum systems, pulse power systems, and plasma systems
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a research, fabrication, or test lab
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with electromechanical tools, hand tools, and light fabrication tools ( i.e. drills, saws, mills, lathes, drill presses, sanders)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Hands-on vacuum system work
The pay range for this position is $30-41/hr. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
