  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and 8 years of full time experience of which 5 years must have been in the managerial/supervisory capacity; Or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience, and 5 years must have been in the managerial/supervisory capacity.
Responsibilities
  • The Manager, Systems Integration role is critical to fill to ensure the safe operation of R211 systems and subsystems. These critical system include, but are not limited to brakes, propulsion, doors, and communications.
  • This position is responsible for R211 systems integration design review, testing, validation, and commissioning, as well as troubleshooting and corrective action development after car acceptance.
  • The Manager ensures that train control networks and integrated systems work seamlessly to provide reliable service to NYCT’s customers.
  • In addition, this role is critical in the commissioning and acceptance activities for carborne CBTC equipment on the R211A NYCT cars and the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system on R211S cars in Staten Island, working with MTA C&D, the Staten Island Railway, and the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) to complete these duties.

  • Experience in the rapid transit industry
  • Experience with the implementation of process control systems
  • Knowledge of system software, microprocessor and electronic control processes relative to heavy railcar design and transit vehicle subsystems.
  • Thorough understanding of design, testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis and corrective action relative to system software, microprocessor and railcar electronic control processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
