Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to use a computer, including Excel, PowerPoint, Pantry Soft, and related devices such as phones, fax machines, and printers.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work with very little direction.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to direct and lead volunteers.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee office functions, including answering and directing calls, welcoming visitors, managing volunteers, tracking gifts-in-kind, and maintaining files.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and greet visitors.
  • Maintain files; perform copying, faxing, and filing; and enter clients into Pantry Soft.
  • Draft letters to donors as directed by the Corps Officers.
  • Record gifts-in-kind monthly.
  • Work with the Social Ministries Case Manager and Corps Officers to assist with food orders and deliveries.
  • Manage food delivery days and work with staff and volunteers to unload and store food.
  • Work with the Program Assistant and Janitor to unload the food truck.
  • Train volunteers to pack food bags and use Pantry Soft.
  • Ensure daily that the pantry and all used areas are clean and meet Health Department standards.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Social services experience.
  • Receptionist experience.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills.
