Requirements
- First experience in operational, crew, or transport planning in rail transportation, together with training or study in transport, transportation, logistics, or a comparable field, is desirable.
- Good technical and commercial understanding to grasp complex relationships and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Familiarity with planning software such as TPN, FBS, IVU, WILSON, or comparable systems, or motivation to learn them quickly.
- Very good German language skills at C1 level.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for intra-year planning of the FlixTrain service, particularly planning efficient duty rosters for train personnel, including train drivers, train managers, and train attendants, for regular and special timetables.
- Handle short-term special services and changes, including short-notice transfers of locomotives and carriages and special trips.
- Develop regular and special timetables while considering operational specifications and statutory requirements.
- Develop economically viable solutions during construction work and operational restrictions, including short- and long-term timetable concepts.
- Coordinate train paths, service facilities, workshop capacity, and operational resources with internal and external partners.
- Analyze ongoing operations to identify optimization potential and contribute findings to the continuous improvement of processes.
