  • Diploma or certification in Electrical Technology
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with standard computer software such as the Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, One Note)
  • Working knowledge and experience using Revit is considered an asset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
  • Assist senior staff to develop electrical systems design drawings for a variety of projects, including but not limited to site lighting and servicing, life safety systems, lighting, building power distribution, and drawing coordination with other disciplines.
  • Coordination of electrical elements with various disciplines, i.e. mechanical equipment, device locations, etc.
  • Assist senior staff in performing and completing design calculations as required for various systems including electrical load calculations, lighting designs, etc., by providing building areas, ceiling types, fixture counts, etc. from AutoCAD plans.
  • Be responsible for drafting (AutoCAD) or modeling (Revit) electrical systems for projects with redline markups under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Be responsible for design document updates and reissuance of drawings and sketches to assist senior staff for issuing site instructions, change notices and addenda throughout the construction portion of a project.
  • Gain experience, understanding, and knowledge of electrical systems design, applicable Codes, and other standards. Design and develop electrical systems and components.
