Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program, such as Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant, is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting is required.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications is required.
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is required.
Responsibilities
  • Float to multiple locations including West Chester, Mason, Wilmington, and Miamisburg.
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures.
  • Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Apply and remove orthopedic devices such as splints, braces, and casts under provider supervision.
  • Provide patient education on preoperative and postoperative care and medication instructions.
  • Assist with in-office imaging coordination, including X-rays and MRIs, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked examination rooms and clinical areas.
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
  • Support surgical scheduling and preoperative preparation as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Orthopedic or surgical specialty experience.
  • Experience with orthopedic-specific electronic medical record systems such as Athenahealth, NextGen, or Epic.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and durable medical equipment.
  • Bilingual ability, including Spanish or Mandarin.
