Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or technically related discipline, preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in the oil, petrochemical or LNG industry of which 5 must be in a Production/Management position
  • Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred
  • Broad knowledge of budgeting, planning, scheduling
  • High level of HSE knowledge
  • Strong personnel management, interpersonal skills, communications & organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills & analytical skills
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and direction, aligned with business goals, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) preferred
  • Ability to assist in development of employee training programs and their evaluations
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and maximize the value of people
  • Ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders across the organization

Responsibilities
  • Directs the planning, scheduling, and managing of all operations and marine related activities
  • Reviews and approves all enhancements to the plant's equipment and facilities
  • Develops ideas and reviews proposals designed to increase production, improve reliability, decrease production interruptions, and improve efficiency
  • Coordinates with engineering on all operations related projects and new developments, from conception to completion, in line with budgets and on-time scheduling
  • Introduces and ensures adherence to technical, financial, personnel and administrative policies, procedures and controls
  • Checks that annual, quarterly, and monthly performance matches the agreed program
  • Ensures daily operations meet production targets in view of quantity and quality specified
  • Prepares the annual budget and put controls in place for the expenditure
  • Prepares regular reports on operational as well as quality, health, safety and environmental performance
  • Recruits staff and monitors the training and development programs for staff to form highly qualified teams in order to undertake the various activities of the Company
  • Ensures operators are fully trained and competent to start-up and operate the plant. Continuously identifies need for job instruction, retraining and development of operations staff
  • Promotes compliance with HSE standards and guidelines, including any work engaging contractors, suppliers, and customers
  • Manages work scopes required for Ready for Operations Plan (RFO) and delivery for the plant aligned with project milestones
  • Oversees the strategic and day to day direction for Field Operations
  • Works closely with multiple stakeholders across VG's organization, including C-suite management & functional disciplines across all assets
  • Advises the management team on key O&M risks & issues, and mitigation plans
