Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent in Marketing specialization or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in a hospitality or hotel marketing setting with direct supervisory experience.
  • Must speak the local language.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the hotel marketing plan and activities to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to relevant target markets, and address hotel business needs.
  • Manage and control marketing budgets by using resources effectively.
  • Develop and own promotional activities, marketing channels, and marketing materials for specific events.
  • Implement public relations campaigns to celebrate successes and awards and promote products.
  • Create, develop, and market key hotel events, especially during key business periods.
  • Communicate the hotel's amenities and benefits, including refurbishments, food and beverage provisions, conference, banqueting, and events, to target markets.
  • Work with local third-party partners, local media, and local official bodies while maintaining professional working relationships.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to target audiences.
  • Work across hotel departments to identify proactive opportunities and planned promotions that address business challenges.
  • Manage and promote the hotel on the IHG brand website.
  • Respond to media enquiries for comments or reports.
  • Research and develop new opportunities within key target markets.
  • Communicate with internal Event Managers about event organization and promotion.
  • Develop and support the Marketing Coordinator or Marketing and Public Relations Executive, where applicable.
  • Produce monthly reports as required.
  • Identify operational problems that reduce marketing effectiveness and hotel sales performance, and work with the appropriate department on solutions.
  • Engage in hotel corporate social responsibility activities.
  • Manage day-to-day marketing activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to manage conflict, improve performance, and recognize good performance.
  • Educate and train the marketing team responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to perform their duties.
  • Work with other department managers to ensure proper staffing levels.
