- A bachelor's degree in human services or a related field; alternatively, an associate's degree in human services or a related field with four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent with at least eight years of relevant experience.
- CANS certification, or the ability to obtain certification within three months, is required.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ensure IFBS Coordinators provide intensive, short-term interventions in the home and community to referred children, families, and youth.
- Track referrals to adhere to the 13-week program timeframe and revise waitlists as necessary.
- Sign Plans of Care, assist with CANS assessments as needed, and regularly review other documentation.
- Assign referrals and maintain consistent communication with DCF-FSD.
- Take referrals and maintain a minimal caseload as needed to comply with contract obligations and support staff.
- Maintain CANS certification.
- Support ongoing training and the use of Motivational Interviewing practices across referrals.
- Attend monthly IFBS provider meetings and additional trainings necessary to adhere to the current contract.
- Two years of experience at Easterseals or in the human services field is preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Easterseals Northeast Indiana provides disability services across the region, helping people with disabilities participate in the community and find work. Its offerings include employment support, day programs, and other community-based services that are tailored to individual needs. The organization started in 1954 as a parent-led effort called the Johnny Appleseed School and grew over the years through partnerships with Easterseals and The Arc. In 2020 and 2021, it merged with RISE Inc. and Passages Inc. to expand its reach and services, and in January 2025 it unified under the Easterseals Northeast Indiana name. The company differentiates itself through its regional network and long-standing ties to national disability service organizations, plus the ability to integrate multiple local programs into a single system of services. Jeanne Marshall, who currently serves as President of Easterseals Midwest, has been named Chief Executive Officer. On the promotion, Marshall said, "I am honored to step into this role and humbled by the trust the board, our team, and the people we support have placed in me." She also noted the impact of current CEO, Wendy Sullivan, who is retiring. "Wendy's legacy over four decades is a testament to what unwavering dedication to our mission looks like, and it is my privilege to carry that mission forward." ADAPT names Jenna Mandel-Ricci as new Chief Executive Officer. Before entering her new role with ADAPT, Mandel-Ricci served as Chief of Staff at the New York City Health Department. While there, she helped to lead the nation's largest local public health department. On her hiring, ADAPT's Board of Directors said 'We could not be more excited to share the news and have Jenna join our growing organization... She is fully committed to advancing ADAPT's mission as a person-centered, holistic support system for everyone we serve across their lifespan.' Michelle beery-brooks named Chief Operating Officer of New England Village. Michelle Beery-Brooke has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in human services, including leading and supporting multidisciplinary, community-based programs across intellectual and developmental disability and behavioral health systems. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, she will champion New England Village's mission and values, and reinforce the organization's commitment to quality, accountability, and a workforce that feels supported and valued. Midstate Arc welcomed kat Wood as new Chief Operating Officer, beginning december 2026. Kathryn 'Kat' Wood, current Director of Community Integration at Midstate Arc, will be moving in the Chief Operating Officer role at the end of the year. On the hire, Midstate Arc wrote 'Kat brings an impressive 25 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her background includes 9 years in a director role and 17 years in management and direct support. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and fostering high-performing teams.' Easterseals launches small group program 'Easterseals Connect' Evansville Courier & Press March 27, 2026, 4:01 a.m. CT EVANSVILLE - Evansville's Easterseals Rehabilitation Center this week launched Easterseals Connect, a small group community program intended to empower adults with disabilities to "develop meaningful connections and build real-world skills." "Easterseals Connect brings services directly into the community, where life happens every day," said Rusty Schimmell, Easterseals vice president of rehabilitation and vocational services, in a statement issued Wednesday morning. Easterseals Connect will provide services in locations or "hubs," each one serving 8-12 individuals, Easterseals said. The organization said participants "will receive personalized support while pursuing their own interests and goals." "This concept allows us to offer a wide range of opportunities for learning, growth and inclusion," Schimmell said. The first Easterseals Connect Hub launched at Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh on Monday. Easterseals said church leaders and members collaborated with the organization for months, renovating an area on the church campus to host the new program. "Crossroads is honored to host the first Easterseals Connect site," said John Heflick, Crossroads local engagement lead. "We are grateful to learn from Easterseals' expertise as we continue growing into a church where people of all abilities are included in every area of church life, reflecting our vision to live and love like Jesus." Connect Hubs are intentionally designed with different areas of focus and flexible schedules, Easterseals said, reflecting the organization's belief that every person is unique. Participants at the Crossroads Hub will be able to engage in skills-based learning and community experiences and to learn vocational skills by volunteering at Crossroads and with other community partners. Easterseals anticipates other Easterseals Connect Hubs will launch in various community locations in the next few months. PHP Foundation grant helps support clinic. Funds benefit Cardinal Services and Easterseals Northeast Indiana. Fort Wayne, Ind. - PHP Foundation awarded a grant of $25,000 to Easterseals Northern Indiana to help support on-site clinics at Cardinal Services in Warsaw and Easterseals Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne. The purpose of the funding is to improve overall health and well-being for people with disabilities by promoting regular health monitoring, improving early detection and intervention for health concerns, and providing targeted mental health support. The clinics at Cardinal Services and Easterseals Northeast Indiana provided care to about 650 people in 2024. With the grant, which provides partial support for the clinics from May 2025 through April 2026, the organizations hope to increase that total to 700. The clinics at each location were established to help ensure people with disabilities served by the organizations have access to high quality medical and psychiatric care in a familiar, welcoming environment. Goals for the clinics include: * Improving key health indicators such as BMI, blood pressure, and medication side effects * Reducing external healthcare visits, minimizing logistical burdens for individuals and families * Expanding mental health services Easterseals Northern Indiana is the parent organization for Easterseals Northeast Indiana and Cardinal Services.
Easterseals kicks off 32nd annual Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights setup in Garvin Park. * megan garrett * nov 3, 2025 updated nov 3, 2025 * 0. EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) - Easterseals is gearing up for the 32nd Annual Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights. Volunteers began setup on Saturday, November 1st, starting at 7 a.m. at Garvin Park. This year's holiday display will feature the largest number of light exhibits ever, with 95 elaborate scenes illuminating the park for the season. Dozens of volunteers from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the National Electrical Contractors Association, and Electrical JATC worked on assembling the displays. Volunteers will continue connecting power and fine-tuning details until opening night on Thanksgiving. Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights runs nightly from Thanksgiving through January 1st.
