Requirements
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations using the English language.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with accuracy.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, Human Resources systems, internet programs, order processing systems, and Security Management System.
  • A current and valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis, less than 10%.
  • Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with e-Hub resets and issues.
  • Complete monthly reports.
  • Review employee files to respond to inquiries and provide information to authorized personnel.
  • Correspond with the Marketing Department to provide client and officer updates, awards, birthdays, and training schedules for inclusion in the Walden Report.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Maintain records related to employee information, including personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
  • Administer pre-employment background checks and pre- and post-employment documentation.
  • Provide benefits information and assist with completing forms to enroll in and cancel benefits.
  • Update employee files to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll and other uses.
  • Create and enter new employee personnel information into the Human Resources information system.
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
  • Participate in company Quality Assurance initiatives, including record-keeping, training, and auditing.
  • Assist with the coordination and scheduling of new hires.
  • Answer Department of Labor unemployment inquiries and complete employment-verification requests.
  • Partner with Intermediate Supervisors and Contract Managers to identify hiring needs.
  • Maintain applicant flow and sourcing methods for hourly contract Operations candidates, including placing advertisements, attending career fairs, directing sourcing, and posting jobs internally and externally.
  • Source qualified hourly candidates through the Applicant Tracking System and available resources.
  • Collect required applicant documentation and applicant packets.
  • Inform applicants about the hiring process, including medical examinations and drug screens.
  • Inform applicants about benefits offered, including life, health, dental, and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Perform tasks unique to each specific government account.
  • Build professional relationships with customers, employees, and staff.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
