Requirements
  • A high school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Three years of experience in a related trade are required.
  • Ability to read and understand basic electrical and hydraulic schematics is required.
  • A personal set of hand tools common to the trade is required.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as email, scanning, and copying equipment, is required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge is required.
  • A valid driver's license and insurability under the Company's insurance policy are required.
  • Compliance with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of three or more employees to ensure maintenance schedules are met efficiently and safely.
  • Manage and perform daily system maintenance and repair when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to Company training programs.
  • Direct daily assignments and schedule and supervise mechanics and technicians in ground support equipment, facilities, boarding bridge, and baggage handling areas.
  • Review and monitor personnel assignments, including the issuance and completion of work orders.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and overhauls with airport and airline staff to minimize customer downtime.
  • Coordinate and manage the daily preventive maintenance program.
  • Assist with budgeting and finances at the site when required.
  • Manage parts inventory when required.
  • Resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain daily turnover reports.
  • Promote employee commitment to quality work, zero defects, and continuous improvement.
  • Train, develop, and motivate maintenance site personnel toward Company objectives.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
  • Work according to Company regulations, procedures, management instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor the Company's Quality program at the station and ensure implementation and conformity with standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, state, local, and Company safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures on site and at remote job sites.
  • Coordinate safety matters with the Company Safety Officer.
  • Maintain site morale and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments required by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in an airport environment is preferred.
  • Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience is preferred.
  • State and/or Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in automotive and diesel repair or an associated field is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience directly related to the applicable position, such as ground support equipment, conveyor, or boarding bridge work, is preferred.
  • Four or more years of direct experience in a ground support equipment airport shop environment is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience working in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Three years of experience mentoring, guiding, and directing employees in a similar job group is preferred.
  • Three years of leadership experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general workplace safety requirements and procedures is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in an airport environment is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Daifuku, a Japanese automation company, lifted its full-year sales and profit outlook after a strong first half and announced a 40-yen interim dividend. What does this mean? Daifuku said first-half net income rose 15% to 43.1 billion yen as sales grew 8.9% to 355.5 billion yen. Off the back of that, it raised its forecast for the year ending December 31st to 86.5 billion yen of net income and 735 billion yen of sales, up from 80 billion yen and 700 billion yen. It also lifted its basic earnings per share forecast to 233.55 yen and reiterated it expects to pay 90 yen per share in dividends for the year. Daifuku acquires 100% of Eisenmann to strengthen automotive manufacturing systems

Japanese company Daifuku has acquired 100% of shares in Eisenmann GmbH from current shareholder Nimbus Hands-on Investors. The acquisition strengthens Daifuku's manufacturing systems business for the automotive industry, particularly in painting and surface treatment. Eisenmann specialises in innovative automation technologies and sustainable solutions for painting and final assembly, primarily serving European automotive and industrial component manufacturers. Daifuku operates production and sales bases across 24 countries, with automobile production line systems forming a core business. The acquisition enables Daifuku to offer more comprehensive coverage in automotive and industrial manufacturing, from quotation through to after-sales support, tailored to European standards.
