Responsibilities

Develop infrastructure and fleet-level configurability on embedded Linux platforms
Write software interfaces for off-the-shelf and custom hardware for integration into our linux-based autonomy platform
Work closely with software and hardware engineers to bridge these elements of our self-driving stack
Build out infrastructure in a Balena/Docker ecosystem to ensure robustness in operation and in hardware interfacing
Build out infrastructure for Linux networking and hardware interface stacks
Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to identify root causes of system outages and develop solutions for robustness and uptime in our autonomy platform

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Software Engineer, that excels at system-level thinking and debugging, to join our dynamic team. This person sits at the intersection between hardware and software, working with engineers from both sides to create solutions.

What You’ll Do

Develop infrastructure and fleet-level configurability on embedded Linux platforms
Write software interfaces for off-the-shelf and custom hardware for integration into our linux-based autonomy plaform

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full time position based in San Francisco, CA, with a salary range between $100,000 - $175,000. Actual compensation offered will depend on work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. Please note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Pronto reserves the right to modify this compensation range at any time.
