Who we are looking for
With immediate effect we are looking for Compliance Analyst, Officer to assist the IS/GD UK Compliance Team in delivering all regular activities as part of the Compliance Advisory programme. Roles will also focus on actively promoting a culture of Compliance, providing day to day support to IS/GD UK business as well as supporting to the Head of IS/GD UKMEA Compliance with responsibility for assigned project work, as required.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements in Edinburgh.

What you will be responsible for
As Compliance Analyst, Officer you will
Assist and support the IS/GD UK Compliance team in the assessment of Compliance risks and execution of the regulatory compliance oversight programme for IS/GD UK and associated legal entities, ensuring compliance with the UK Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulations Authority rules
Assist in the design and oversight of CRT activities to ensure a robust and comprehensive monitoring and testing plan for IS/GD UK
Lead the administrative integrity of the IS/GD UK Compliance Oversight Programme tools, including Advisory Tracker, change control and Archer
Develop and maintain good working relationships with the IS/GD UK business where required, providing advisory support to assist with regulatory queries, and ensuring closure of any Compliance issues within a timely manner
Assist with the preparation of written reports for Senior Management on the Compliance risk opinion and delivery of the Compliance programme, indicating progress achieved and any significant matters requiring attention
Identify training needs and facilitate successful implementation of Compliance training and education for all relevant staff within the IS/GD business lines. Coordinate with the other locations to ensure consistency where appropriate
Ensure the effective communication of Compliance policies and their key requirements to staff as required. This may include developing, implementing, promoting and maintaining compliance standards and procedures that require employees to act in a compliant manner
Keep abreast of regulatory and legislative updates or changes. Contribute to analysis and interpretation of the regulation and legislation (new and current as required). Provide feedback to peers and business stakeholders, as required. Participate in the SSTL Regulatory Change Forum, as required
Participate in and attend external regulatory forums and groups to engage with peers and industry bodies and the regulatory authorities on forthcoming regulatory change. Ensure that the outcome of such meetings is communicated to the relevant stakeholders (IS/GD UK Compliance and Senior Management)
Participate in client due diligence responses including Request for Proposals/Information, due diligence questionnaires, as well as presenting on the Compliance oversight programme in client due diligence meetings
Assist in governance activities and contribute in the review of relevant materials e.g. NCAM, ORAD. Proactively identify and escalate any issues and weaknesses in the governance structure and promote the governance requirements as identified within the State Street model
Review and approval of material covered by the Marketing Materials, Collateral Materials and Communications Policy via Adtrax
