Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure software development, SRE, production engineering, and/or backend service development.
  • Experience in building and shipping high quality, scalable infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience in C++ or Go as well as a scripting language like Python.
  • Deep understanding of linux – especially around bootloaders, connectivity, memory management, filesystems, kernel, and drivers.
  • Strong systematic analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or other cgroups based systems.
  • Expertise in source code & build systems: git and bazel.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Projects.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery pipelines and CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience with IaC tooling, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Fantastic communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build infrastructure to enable safe systems and software delivery for Dexterity in production.
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team of folks with SWE, SRE, and systems engineer skill sets.
  • Bring an SRE sensibility to systems design.
  • Set direction for infrastructure quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers on the team and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Lead by example by providing code reviews and evangelizing engineering excellence across the Software Platform team.
  • Guide tooling development and optimization of production systems.
