Green Thumb Industries' revenue grows 5% to $307M despite pricing pressures

Green Thumb Industries reported Q2 2026 revenue of $307 million, up 5% year-over-year, driven by strong performance in Minnesota, Connecticut, and Florida. The cannabis company posted normalised EBITDA of $84 million, representing a 28% margin. The firm generated $29 million in operating cash flow and held $284 million in cash at quarter end. GAAP net income reached $4.9 million, or $0.02 per share, reversing a prior-year loss. However, gross margin declined to 45% from 50% year-over-year, partly due to $17.5 million in brand licensing fees. Same-store sales fell 1% on a base of 103 stores. Green Thumb repurchased approximately 8 million shares during the quarter at an average price above $6. The company expects flat sequential revenue in Q3 due to ongoing pricing pressures.

Green Thumb Industries proves financial resilience Amid cannabis industry turmoil. August 4, 2026 Green Thumb Industries Continues to Thrive Amid Industry Challenges Green Thumb Industries, a leading cannabis company, has demonstrated its financial resilience and discipline, bucking the trend of struggling rivals. Despite the industry's turbulent past five years, Green Thumb has maintained a strong cash flow, allowing it to repurchase shares in a responsible manner. This financial flexibility is a testament to the company's prudent management. In its latest quarterly results, Green Thumb reported a 7.4% year-over-year revenue increase to $300.2 million. The company's operating cash flow reached $76 million, while normalized EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) stood at $93.5 million. Notably, Green Thumb remained profitable, with GAAP net income of $15.4 million. The company's ability to generate cash and maintain profitability sets it apart from its peers, many of which expanded too quickly, took on excessive debt, or repeatedly diluted shareholders. Green Thumb's disciplined approach has earned it a reputation as one of the cannabis sector's best-run companies. As investors seek reliable and financially sound investments, Green Thumb Industries stands out as a safe and attractive option.
