We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to lead our AI organization. You will work regularly with the founders to develop Vise’s AI vision and lead a team of engineers to execute on that vision. Vise has steadfastly pursued a belief that AI can transform the wealth management space and unlock personalized portfolios at a level previously unheard of. As we continue to introduce AI products into an industry that is excited and ready for a change, we are looking for a leader that will steward the technical vision in a similarly innovative manner. 

We believe that truly revolutionary AI products will require a carefully thought out technical strategy optimized for LLMs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares that belief and wants to influence how AI shapes the wealth management industry. 

What You Will Own

• The technical direction of AI products at Vise.
• Architect and primary owner of Vise’s AI infrastructure
• Thoughtfully build and scale the Vise AI team by hiring and retaining exceptional talent.
• Developing Vise’s AI strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the CEO and broader team.

What You Bring on Day One

• 5+ years of software development experience outside of education and internships
• Experience designing and deploying distributed systems.
• Able and willing to simultaneously manage and execute.  
• Comfort with backend and frontend languages. Our stack includes Python, Golang, TypeScript, so direct experience working with these is a big plus.
• A deep curiosity for AI. You don’t need to have technical experience with large language models, but you should have a sophisticated understanding of the theory and be comfortable experimenting with them.
• Interest in FinTech and/or wealth management.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Through the internal and market data Vise has collected, we expect the salary range for this position to be $200,000 - $280,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package. Your actual compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Vise offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits.
