Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Psomagen added the R3200 on March 26, 2026, validating external demand.
  • Cellanome showcased live-cell analysis marrying imaging and sequencing at AGBT 2026.
  • Cellanome raised $75.9 million on June 22, 2026, extending runway.

What critics are saying

  • 10x Genomics and other single-cell vendors already dominate adjacent workflows.
  • Cellanome still lacks proof of broad customer adoption beyond Psomagen and conferences.
  • If 2026 spending misses hardware sales, the platform becomes an expensive science project.

What makes Cellanome unique

  • Cellanome links longitudinal live-cell imaging to single-cell transcriptomics from the same cells.
  • Its CellCage micro-3D-printed enclosures isolate cells while drugs and antibodies flow.
  • R3200 captures morphology, phenotype, and RNA on identical live cells.

Cellanome files to raise $75.9M for live-cell imaging and single-cell transcriptomics platform

Cellanome has filed a notice with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to raise up to $75.9 million in new funding. The filing was made under Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933, which allows companies to sell securities without full registration. The company develops technologies that combine longitudinal live-cell imaging with single-cell transcriptomics from the same cells. This approach enables scientists to capture cellular dynamics over time and connect cellular behaviour with molecular state. Researchers can access Cellanome's technology by implementing its R3200 platform in their laboratories, using its assay services, or collaborating with the company's scientists on new applications.
